Jen and Edith told me to do one, so I did! It wasn't a typical day (mine is from Valentine's day) so I used A LOT.
Before we get started, a disclaimer: I am going to use a TON of shit today because I am both washing my hair and going out tonight. Also, as I've mentioned before, I've gotten very into project panning (and I am trying to use up an entire eyeshadow palette this year), so I have several products I am trying to use up.
Also, here is a filler photo so my face isn't on the thumbnail that shows up next to this post:
I woke up at around 7:00, but stayed in bed, playing on my phone. While doing that, I applied the lip balm I keep next to my bed, Jersey Shore Son Mongongo in Orange which I received last year in an Ipsy bag. I really like it, but it's nothing special. Just a standard lip balm.
At 7:30, I got up, took care of my dog, and then took a shower. I am all about drugstore haircare, but on this day, I washed my hair using the Neil George Shampoo & Conditioner that I got in my Birchbox last month (you are going to notice a theme here...I'm trying to use up samples and subscription box products). I don't wash my face with anything but water most mornings, but I used my Clairsonic Mia 2 along with a sample of Vichy 3-in-1 cleanser I got from Glossybox. I usually use up face wash samples in the shower so I don't have to move my regular cleanser back and forth all the time. I also used up&up Deep Moisturizing Body Wash with a loofah from Target.
After I got out of the shower, I brushed my teeth with my Crest Pro Health and used my Paula's Choice Earth Sourced Toner and Paula's Choice Clear Ultra Light Daily Fluid with SPF 30 moisturizer. I also rubbed a little bit of Tony & Guy Leave In Conditioner in my hair, another Glossybox product. Whenever I use this, I have an amazing hair day. I love it. On my body and hands, I used Soap & Glory's Righteous Body Butter from a mini set I bought for myself during the Sephora VIB sale. Finally, I used the Lavanilla Healthy Deodorant in Lemon Vanilla. I just got this last month. I had been using a Tom's deodorant, but I haaaaated it and I like this one a lot more.
For the past few months, I have been volunteering at a nutrition/physical activity class for kids on Saturday mornings. I don't always wear makeup, but today I woke up pretty early and was watching YouTube videos in my office, where I keep my makeup, so I ended up putting on a little bit. I used my Maybelline Color Tattoo in Creamy Beige, an Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in West (a limited edition shade from a set last year), Tarte Lights, Cameras, Lashes mascara (from Ipsy), my mini Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee in Pink Escape (from a Sephora point perk), and my Clinique Chubby Stick in Super Strawberry (another project pan item that I'll actually probably end up finishing this weekend).
When I got home, I spent the afternoon cleaning the house. I probably applied the hand cream I currently have on my desk a few times (Udder Cream).
When it was time to get ready, I removed the eye makeup I was wearing with Sephora's Waterproof Eye makeup remover and washed my face with a random foil packet sample I had. I used a foil sample of Laura Mercier Foundation Primer that I found when I was cleaning since I decided to use my high end foundation, the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide (ETA: I also used a Sephora Smoothing & Brightening concealer under my eyes). . On my eyes, I did a smokey eye following this tutorial for the Lorac Pro palette (ETA: I also used Too Faced Shadow Insurance). I used my Too Faced Bulletproof Brows in Universal Brunette and L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly mascara. On the rest of my face, I used Benefit Hoola, NARS Blush in Deep Throat, and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette. I finished it all off with Marc Jacobs lipstick in Moody Margot. For perfume, I used a sample of Tom Ford's Black Orchid (WHICH I AM OBSESSED WITH BTW).
Here is a photo:
Mr. Peachy and I went out to a wine bar and then saw Sleater-Kinney. Sidenote: So many women were rocking red lipstick at the show, including the band, that I regretted with going with a smokey eye and not red lipstick. I mostly chose the smokey eye to use some of the darker shades in the Lorac Pro since I'm trying to use it up (I've hit pan on two shadows so far!). I forgot the lipstick I put on originally, so I used the same Clinique chubby stick as earlier for the rest of the night.
When we got home, I went though my entire normal nighttime skincare routine, even though I was exhausted. I used the same Sephora eye makeup remover as earlier. I removed my makeup with Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser. I washed my face with Paula's Choice Earth Sourced Cleanser and toner, Paula's Choice Resist Daily AHA treatment, both of these serums, and Clinique Turnaround cream. I ended the day with the same lip balm I started with.
WHEW. Edith was right. Way more fun to read than write (especially when Kinja eats half of it). Hope that was entertaining.
