I'm not about to toss my shampoo and conditioner, but I was bored tonight, and my hair was filthy, so I figured I'd best go do something about it.

Earlier this week, I rinsed LittleMuffinGirl's hair with vinegar after a day at the water park. It came out really shiny, so I figured I'd do mine tonight. I do it about once a month, no big deal. But, as I was rummaging about in the pantry, I also found a jar of honey that'd been in there a while (my kids are honey snobs, but that is a different story...). Anyway, I remembered to bring it along, because, every now and then, I mix a small bit (tsp or so) in with my conditioner. Tonight, I was feeling daring, and said, "To heck with it, I'll just use honey this time around..."

I'm pretty pleased with the results. My hair is still wet, so the final verdict will be tomorrow morning, but, so far so good... My hair didn't have the usual "slip" it has with my regular conditioner, so it was harder to detangle (I have VERY long, moderately thick, wavy hair). So far it feels pretty soft, though, and smells pretty good.

I'm not planning to join the "no 'poo movement" any time soon, but this was an interesting experiment for a Saturday evening... Maybe I'll repeat in a couple weeks.

So, what is the weirdest thing you've put in your hair in the quest for shiny, glowy tresses?
